 Shorewood
Real Estate was incorporated
in 1987. However, it was not until the spring of
1996 when Shorewood Real Estate, Inc. opened its
doors to the public. It was at this time that Darlene
Larson, Shorewood's founder, joined forces with
her two daughters, Danielle Register and Michelle
Daffron, who bring their unique talents to the management
and daily operation of the business. The girls grew
up around real estate, as their mother has been
an active real estate agent in Carteret County since
1982. Prior to that time Ms. Larson was a teacher
as well as a licensed estate and business planner
with CIGNA Corporation in Virginia.
Shorewood Real Estate is comprised
of three divisions, Sales, Rentals, and Property
Management. Shorewood offers the amenities of
a larger company with the individualized attention
that only a smaller company can give.
The Sales Division offers various
types of brokerage services, from traditional
transactions representing either the buyer or
seller, to complex transactions such as Like-Kind
Tax Deferral exchanges whereby the broker coordinates
with client attorneys and accountants to effect
the desired client outcome. As members of the
Multiple Listing Service, Shorewood Real Estate,
Inc. Associates can list or sell properties anywhere

The Rental Division has two
prongs, Vacation Rentals, and Long-Term Leases.

The Property Management Division
was born in response to clients who strongly requested
that they wanted detail-oriented Shorewood to
manage the properties they had purchased. Those
who are with Shorewood can specify their objectives
and goals; Shorewood customizes their management
to suit their clients' wishes. We are always available
to discuss ways clients can maximize their rental
income. We give specific ideas that are in accord
with our owners' circumstances. Our Property Management
division includes Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reservations
